KALAKUNJ presents NRITYA UTSAVAM and DAKSHA YAJNA (The sacrifice of Daksha)
Overview
The award-winning, dynamic performing arts group, Kalakunj is delighted to invite you to the annual celebration of South Asian arts and heritage, NRITYA UTSAVAM 2025.
The evening will feature a dance interpretation of the story of the sacrifice of King Daksha, DAKSHA YAJNA, by the senior students of Kalakunj along with presentations by the junior students of Kalakunj from the Bharatanatyam repertoire.
The program will also include a Mohiniyattam presentation by Rajitha Nambiar, a disciple of Smt. Pallavi Krishnan, a leading exponent of Mohiniyattam in Kerala, India.She has won prizes in National level competitions of UUKMA(UK Malayalee Association) and performed in various stages in India and UK. Currently, she is based in Swindon running Mohiniyattam classes for interested learners.
