Event description

Description

The Korean Wave is the increase in global popularity of South Korean culture, K-pop, K-beauty, and K-drama carried by the internet and social media. South Korea has emerged as a major exporter of popular culture and tourism, aspects which have become a significant part of its burgeoning economy. However, there are many undeveloped aspects. The play shows how Korean people work in the entertainment industry. Even though the story takes place in a theater company, it is the same thing happening everywhere in Korea. It reveals the dark side of Korean society. This play may be a shock to some, but also highly relevant to real world issues. In my experience, I noticed many parallels between Korea and the US. I believe native and foreigner can catch on to this subject.
