Justine's Presents: Exquisite Underground New Year's Eve
Description
Beautiful friends, it’s been a wild and strange year. Sometimes pushing people and ideas underground makes them stronger—and exquisite. Here’s to the ones who don't give in but dance all night instead. This massive New Year’s Eve party is simply too big for our property, so Justine’s is taking over a secret location very close to home, (address TBA very soon!), and turning it into a multiplex of art and hedonism. We’re building one giant pounding crazy all-night don’t-stop underground dance revolution party, and you, dear libertine and dancefloor king & queen, are invited!
The night’s jewel is a live show by Syrian cult icon Omar Souleyman. A clandestine photo booth, “The Changing Room: Be Whoever You Want To Be” inspired by dressing rooms to make art while you celebrate the night. With love from the artist, we will screening Marilyn Minter’s newest video piece concurrently opening at the Brooklyn Museum. Performers will be hanging like stars in the sky. This is OPEN BAR all night!!! There will be a Gem + Bolt mescal bar, champagne bar and two beautiful bars featuring Justine's cocktails like the Enfant Terrible... There will be bites + candy for the hungry revelers. At midnight: thousands balloons will drop, and champagne towers will overflow...
Your world will change. All of it made for art, dance, joy, chaos, exaltation in forbidding times. From a basement candle-glittering smoke-filled pop-up jazz club, to a dance floor that morphs all night from late 1980s raves to early disco in Manhattan garages to psychedelic trances in Thailand. You will come everywhere with us, you will come underground.
One night, one love. Dance with all nations + races + choices. The beauty of difference. Tickets are $200 and include entry, all performances, open bar all night, bites and photobooth.
