Event description

Description

What is it?

The third of a series of sessions that will feature a speaker from a justice-focused organization, like SEIU Local 26, Jewish Community Action, etc. The guest speaker(s) will talk about some challenges and opportunities in their work. The participants will be comedy makers who listen to a short presentation and then participate in an interactive conversation/pitch session facilitated by comedy writer and community organizer Levi Weinhagen. The focus of the interaction portion of this event will be on the comedy folks asking questions and pitching comedy ideas to support the work the organization is doing.

This is not a performance. This is a combination of presentation, workshop, conversation to generate a deeper understanding of the ways comedy tools can be used to support the work of justice and equity.

When is it?

This will be the second of four sessions. You may come to any or all of them.
