The Office of the Division of Social Science is proud to close the inaugural semester of the Just Societies Speaker Series by hosting distinguished Columbia University Historian Eric Foner, DeWitt Clinton Professor of History.

Professor Foner's lecture is entitled "Retreat From Equality: The Importance of Reconstruction and the Late Nineteenth Century to Understanding Persistent Racial Inequality". He will speak in the Jamail Lecture Hall, on the third floor of the Journalism School, on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 17, 2018, beginning at 4:00pm.
