Jungle Birds of Boulder – Photography Hike
Sat.  June 3, 7:30 – 10:30 am
Limit: 25 people
The Wild Boulder citizen science project is celebrating June with a Migratory Bird Challenge. To get prepared, join OSMP naturalist Dave Sutherland, Flatirons Photo Club photographer John Harmon, and the WILD Foundation’s Melanie Hill for a photo safari into a local birding hot spot to seek out colorful migratory song birds newly arrived from the steamy jungles south of the border.

We will share tips to get the most out of your camera, and explain how to upload your photographs to the Boulder County Wildlife project on iNaturalist so your observations can become data points to help biologists study migration.

Participants are encouraged to come already familiar with their cameras, and to sign up for a free account on iNaturalist (instructions here) ahead of time.

We will be using The Birds of Costa Rica as our primary bird guide book in the field – no joke!

Meeting location for this easy hike will be provided when you register.
