Juneteenth is a celebration created by African-Americans to help commemorate the emancipation of slavery. The celebration is held every year on the 19th of June as on that day in 1865, slavery was abolished. This celebration also goes by the name of Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day.

“With the recent rise of enthusiasm around African Heritage and Black Culture thanks in part to the climate of our nation and films like Black Panther, many community members have been requesting an opportunity to celebrate!
