Join us Wednesday, June 19 (note date change from the usual 4th Wednesday of the month) as we welcome Colorist Alexis Van Hurkman who will show off the new features in Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 10.

Plus Marco Solorio returns to talk about and MAYBE show us the soon to be released Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and Pocket Cinema Camera. Marco will also be talking the difference between the EF and MFT Cinema Cams.

Also ProMAX returns to show off their Platform Management Software. Perfect for small video and creative workgroups.

Plus - Apple just announced the new Mac Pro which is slated to ship "later this year." Opinions are divided. Is this the pro computer professional editors have been waiting for? Philip Hodgetts,and Jon Chappell will dissect, discuss and answer ALL of your questions. Bring it on!

Plus, courtesy of Blackmagic Design, we are once again renting the 2K projector we all so wish to buy for the Gallery Theatre. See it in action. It is wonderful!

 Monica Daniel, Adam Bedford Philip Hodgetts as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

7:20PM - 7:30PM - Announcements
This is your time. Get up and tell us something about yourself. Ask for a job, offer a job. Whatever you want. Keep it brief.

7:30PM- 7:45PM - ProMAX Platform Management Software - Nate Cooper
ProMAX's Nate Cooper will be showing an overview of the features for controlling group workflow with the new Platform Management Software, which puts facility managers and systems administrators in control of how space, bandwidth and other key functions are delegated, managed and used. Platform Manager's graphical displays make tracking connections, setting bandwidth limitations, and moving server space allocations easier than ever. The software's permission-based controls provide flexible access for users, within a highly secure server environment. ProMAX will also be bringing the Platform Studio server: the first full-featured storage system designed for small video and creative workgroups. With up to 32TB in a single unit, Studio expands to 64TB of total storage to handle on-set to in-studio workflows.

7:50PM - 8:20PM - DaVinci Resolve 10 - Alexis Van Hurkman 
Alexis Van Hurkman will show a preview of the forthcoming DaVinci Resolve 10, providing a closer look at the new version's overall functionality, and showing off a few new features not seen at the Las Vegas Supermeet.

Based in Manhattan, I do color correction for a wide variety of broadcast programming, narrative and documentary features and shorts, spots, and experimental subjects. 8:20PM - 8:50PM - Break
In the lobby will be many FCP, Avid and Premiere Gurus. Also Heather Williams of Atomos will show off the brand new Samurai BladeThis is your chance to ask questions. No questions? Then talk to each other.The break is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems solved and who knows, get a job. You never know who you are going to meet at lafcpug. Snacks and Beer and Wine will be on sale in the lobby. Proceeds go to the Gallery Theater.

8:50PM - 9:20PM - Blackmagic Cinema Cameras - Marco Solorio
Plus Marco Solorio returns to talk about and MAYBE show us the soon to be released Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and Pocket Cinema Camera. Marco will also be talking the difference between the EF and MFT Cinema Cams, and if time allows will show clips from his latest Doc shot with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera
