Description

The PEERvention Workshop is designed to educate you on the obstacles, tools and strategies to enable proactive and effective mental health care as individuals and communities. PEERvention is shorthand for peer-to-peer proactive suicide prevention. Our free monthly education opportunities are made possible through the support of Partners in Prevention, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Banyan Treatment Center.

Hope For The Day's pioneering program focuses on reducing reduce suicide rates by disrupting, and eliminating the highest risk factors for reaching a stage of mental health crisis.

This is a free presentation. Make sure to register to attend though walk-ins are welcome.

The July PEERvention 4-hour workshop is sponsored by Road Home Program. Road Home Program provides confidential mental health services for veterans and their families, regardless of ability to pay and have partnered with HFTD for many education events and outreach opportunities as Partners in Prevention.

We will also be highlighting other partner orgs in the community doing amazing work to support veteran/active duty military populations, their spouses, and their families. 121 individuals die by suicide on average in America and that includes an average of 22 veteran and active duty military individuals. Together we can prevent suicide.

*Note: there is free limited parking in the Logan Square Library parking lot.

Complimentary coffee will be provided by Sip of Hope. Additional refreshments will be provided by Partners in Prevention, Clif Bar & Honest Tea.
