Event description
Join GCOA as the Potential 2022 CO-AGE Issues are revealed in a short presentation at the July CO-AGE Meeting.

About this event

Every year, the Georgia Council on Aging asks Georgians to submit ideas to become a CO-AGE priority issue. Over the years, a wide range of Georgians have identified problems that affect older Georgians and have been able to see their submissions turn into solutions. Some of these issues include:

· Funding to keep seniors at home and out of a nursing home

· Funding to transfer residents out of nursing homes and back into the community

· Increased penalties for those who commit elder abuse

· Fingerprint background checks for all long term care workers

Join GCOA as the Potential 2022 CO-AGE Issues are revealed in a short presentation at the July CO-AGE Meeting. This is your chance to see what issues will be voted on by CO-AGE members to be taken to the state legislature in 2022! Winners are announced in the GCOA Senior Issues Newsletter on August 1, 2021.
