High school teachers, join the youcubed curriculum writing team* for an introductory workshop to prepare to teach all 8 units of Explorations in Data Science! The training is conducted in person at Stanford University over four and a half days and offers in-depth sessions on each unit, including hands-on experience with the technology tools in the course.
Individual participants or groups of 2: $1,990 per person
Groups of 3 or more: $1,800 per person
*PLEASE NOTE THAT JO BOALER IS NOT A PRESENTER AT THIS WORKSHOP
Monday through Thursday, the workshop will begin at 9:00 am Pacific Time and end at 3:00 pm Pacific Time and will include a catered lunch. On Friday, the workshop will begin at 9:00 am Pacific Time and end at noon Pacific Time (no lunch provided on this day). A continental breakfast will be provided each morning of the workshop. Participants will receive a certificate verifying 25 Professional Development Hours (2.5 CEUs).
The nearest airports to Stanford University are San Jose (SJC) and San Francisco (SFO). The closest lodging is in Palo Alto and the surrounding communities.
