View Venice on the Creek in a larger map
Venice on the Creek is a relaxing punt ride down Cherry Creek in lower downtown Denver. A "punt" is a boat similar to an Italian gondola -- a long and narrow vessel (23' x 3') that is propelled and steered by a pole operator at the back of the punt. On your tour, your guide will relate to you the importance of the South Platte River throughout Denver's history. Boats hold up to six people and leave every 10-15 minutes. The ride will last for 35 to 40 minutes.
Punts are well known in Europe and elsewhere, but ours are the only known punts in the United States. One of the four vessels used in our Venice on the Creek program was built in Cambridge, England and imported here to the united states. The three other vessels were hand built here in Denver. All the boats cost about $10,000 each.
VOTC payment policies:
Must pay the entire fee at the time of reservation. Only credit cards are accepted (no checks or cash).
