Join a Museum Guide for a dynamic, indoor/outdoor tour of the history and art of deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum located on the former estate of tea merchant and glass doorknob manufacturer, Julian de Cordova (1851-1945).
Learn about the transformation of the de Cordova family’s summer home built in 1880 to the “castle” structure that became the family’s year-round residence in 1910 to the Museum of today after 1950. The Museum is located on the former estate of Julian DeCordova (1851-1945), tea broker, merchant, and president of the Union Glass Company, Somerville. Tour includes selections from the 30-acre Sculpture Park and the indoor exhibitions.
