Judaism 101 (eight-week class for beginners and not-so beginners)

About this Event

This eight-week online overview of Judaism covers the most important topics about this vital ancient and modern religion: life cycle, history, values, calendar, Bible, Israel, theology, Shabbat, Hebrew, literature, kosher, and Messiah.

Class meets every Wednesday in October and November at Noon EDT. First session: October 7

$125 tuition (or $95 early-bird rate before October 1)

Instructor: David Benkof's twice-weekly online Jewish Culture 101 classes draw hundreds of students per session. Participants say they enjoy his dynamic use of the Zoom platform to help them explore Jewish culture in greater depth. He has a master's degree in Jewish history from Stanford and wrote the introductory text Modern Jewish History for Everyone. He lives in Jerusalem.
