What: Judaica: Playing with Clay
Where: Alamo City Pottery Workshop, 718 Labor Street, San Antonio, TX 78210
When: December 4, 2016 – January 29, 2017 (no class on New Year's Day), 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Cost: $180 all inclusive—clay, tools, glazes OR $35 per individual class (glazing week and reception week included)
Alamo City Pottery Workshop, located at 718 Labor Street, will be offering an eight-week class titled Judaica in Clay taught by April Grunspan. The eight-week class will offer the opportunity to create a collection of Judaica for use in your own home, or as gifts to give throughout the year.
Each week attendees will create one ritual item, with each week's skills building on the next:
Week 1, Dec. 4: Mezuzah
Week 2, Dec. 11: Chanukah menorah
Week 3, Dec. 18: Kiddush cup
Week 4, Dec. 25: Spice box
Week 6, Jan. 8: Washing cup
Week 5, Jan 15: Shabbat Candlesticks
Week 6, Jan 22: Glazing
Week 7, Jan 29: Finished product pick-up and “artist” reception
NOTE: Class is limited to 10 participants. Children are welcome, but those under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent. Be sure to register soon so you don't miss out.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE ENTIRE COURSE OR A SINGLE WEEK:
To register for the entire course: Click on SELECT A DATE. When the dates appear, click on SUN., DEC. 4. A new page will appear. Click on the green TICKETS option and a pop-up window will offer you the options to sign up for the entire eight weeks or individual weeks.
If registering for individual weeks, be sure to click on the free glazing and reception options as well. Then, just follow the directions to pay for your registration.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Everyone is welcome, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent who will be responsible for supervision and support.
