About this Event

Juanita MORE!'s Sunday Pride Party is considered the most anticipated event during Pride month in San Francisco. This year marks the 16th of these non-profit events this year benefiting the GLBT Historical Society.
Founded in 1985, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) Historical Society is recognized internationally as a leader in the field of LGBTQ public history. Its operations are centered around two sites: the GLBT Historical Society Museum, located since 2011 in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood; and the Dr. John P. De Cecco Archives and Research Center, open to researchers in the Mid-Market district. The Archives and Research Center are among the largest of their kind, attracting leading researchers from around the world.
The successes of the LGBTQ movement are as unprecedented as they are under threat. So, the work of institutions like the GLBT Historical Society in maintaining the archives are critical tools for inspiring future generations to advocate for social justice.
Over the year’s Juanita’s efforts have raised $500,000 for the LGBTQ community.
