Journey to Beauty: The East
Sun, May 28, 2017, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
Inspired the practices of Japan
Join us as we gather for a womens circle inspired by our sisters of the East. We learn about the healing properties of Seaweed and other key ingredients in the Japanesse lifestyle. Make a Seaweed-rice face mask, said to brighten complexion with 70 Antioxidants that protect against cellular damage. Learn how to use Chinese reflexology in your everyday life and how to get the most of your morning beauty practices with face massages and pressure points inspired by Korean Beauty. We’ll paint the famous Geisha symbol of a V or W at the nape of her neck as a sign of arousal and promiscuity – a practice that dates back thousands of years. We focus on the application of a perfectly painted red lip thats an art form in the transition from maiko to a geisha. The lip is focused on the center area to give off the effect of smaller lips—a trait seen as sensual and attractive in Japanese culture. You will have authentic lip brushes and makeup products that Geishas love from Kyoto,Japan. We then close the circle doing a Cherry Blossom ceremony to connect the message of beauty, ritual, and a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short: a Japanese representation of the beauty of Cherry Blossom.
Matcha is offered as our inner beauty activation, while we enjoy the music and atmosphere of the magic of The East.
You will be creating:
- Seaweed + Rice Water Mask
- Massage Technique inspired by Korean Beauty and Reflexology
- Symbol Art Painting of Geisha Culture
Each workshop is three-hours, where we share in native beauty traditions that are inspired by Stephanie’s global travels. Offered exclusively on the days around the Full Moon.
We will enjoy Matcha hot tea from Japan, which cleanses the body’s entire system of toxins and hazardous chemicals or other impurities, leaving the skin glowing and radiantly clean.
