Where do we go to check in for the hike?

You will follow the green signs to the overflow parking lot which is a large gravel lot off of the south entrance to the park or right off of IL-71. The naturalist will check participants in starting 10 minutes prior to the hike time.

Should I wear long pants and bug spray?

Yes, we will be hiking through small patches of tallgrasses and long pants tucked into your socks and bug spray are recommended.

Participants will meet at the overflow parking lot off of the south entrance to the park (IL-71) to check in with the naturalist at least 5-minutes prior to the start of the hike time.

Please dress for the weather and trails. Bugspray is recommended.
