Just beginning as a writer, or have you been writing for a while and you’ve hit a dry spell? Discover how journal writing can enliven and provide fodder for your hungry creative spirit. Many writers use journals to explore their imaginations, to record ideas for stories, and/or to reflect on life and its issues. The fact is, the creative possibilities for keeping a journal are endless. You may want to create a journal for sharing your observations about the headlines of the day, documenting your process in writing a book, capturing your dreams, or recording the challenges and blessings of a life well-lived. In this workshop we will explore the wide variety of opportunities comprised within journal-keeping—from Julia Cameron’s “morning pages” to Gretchen Rubin’s one-sentence daily practice—and find the journaling methods that will best feed your creative spirit.
