Event description

Description

It’s time to expand your creativity and give yourself space to reflect so you can be your happiest and most confident self in 2019. Writing has been found to have many benefits which include sharpening creativity, helping to focus and organize, nurturing the self, healing from childhood and adult trauma, increasing awareness of feelings, reducing stress, discovering goals, strengths and talents and processing information in decision making.

This workshop will focus on specific journaling techniques which allow for self-exploration. Please use this time to join others in learning how to take advantage of this pleasurable practice.

About the Instructor: Teara Q. Booker is an accomplished maternal health advocate, arts administrator, author, professor, and the founder of Well With Her Soul. Well With Her Soul is a movement that demonstrates the truth that all women are entitled to live a healthy, thriving and well life. Teara is a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland where she earned an MA in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship. She also holds a graduate certification in Negotiation and Conflict Management, as well as various health and wellness certifications and credentials. Teara now resides in Baltimore with her daughter.

Scholarships are available for this workshop. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please send a few sentences about yourself, your goals as a writer, and an outline of how you would benefit from a scholarship through the contact form on our website.
