About this event

We cordially invite you to join us for an exclusive wine tasting dinner featuring a six course Menu with the Robert McFarlane of Potomac Selections on Sunday, May 16th at 6pm, Featuring Jose Pastor's Wine Selections

Guests will enjoy a six course menu prepared by award winning Chefs David Sierra and David Cardona. Each course will be paired with the illustrious wines of Jose Pastor Selection. Throughout the dinner, Robert, will approach and explain the wines being served at teach table, the tale behind each wine, and while one wine might be sipped in nearly reverent contemplation, another is enjoyed alongside the first joyous ray of light and blossom of spring.

About Jose Pastor: For nearly two decades, the José Pastor Selections back label has been synonymous with authentic, fine Iberian wines. Our longevity has always been based on taking risks (the good kind). We entered the scene at a moment in wine history when regional and traditionally made Iberian wines were disappearing and being replaced by an international style stripped of terroir. It was a time when chemicals in the vineyard and manipulation in the winery were the most celebrated and profitable. Long before it was fashionable, we championed the work of traditionally minded growers who believed in a minimalist approach in the vines and in the cellar.

From old-school Rioja – a near extinct expression of Spanish winemaking – to the historic wines of Jerez and noble wines of Galicia, we’ve introduced wine lovers to little-known grapes such as Palomino and Mencía from the ancient, underappreciated terraces of Ribeira Sacra. We’ve helped Americans rediscover the rare and ungrafted vineyards of the Canary Islands. Seeking out these almost forgotten regional and delicious wines and bringing them to our customers, while helping the small growers thrive, is what continues to drive us.

About Potomas Selections:

Import and Wholesale Distribution

Potomac Selections, Inc. was founded in 2003 with the express purpose of bringing the best of small production, family run wine estates from Europe and beyond to our market in the mid-Atlantic region, encompassing Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. Over the years we have honed our sensibilities with the passing of each harvest, paying close attention to changes and advancements in viticulture, oenology, and the wine market generally. While conditions continually change, we remain steadfast in our commitment to dutifully represent the hard work and artistry of our winery and wholesale distribution partners. In addition to our direct winery relationships in the US and EU, we are proud to exclusively distribute wines from Brazos Imports (South America), John Given Wines (Italy), Haw River Wine Man (Italy), José Pastor Selections (Spain), Rosenthal Wine Merchant (EU), Think Global Wines (Spain), and Vom Boden (Germany).

Our Mission: A Humble Philosophy of WineSince its inception Potomac Selections, Inc. has been guided by the same central conviction that wine is humankind's greatest artistic expression; one to be searched after and shared. That wine itself is an almost alchemic human achievement, taking from the shifting seasons the fruits of viticultural labor, condensing that which is most vital, and trapping time in a bottle: this is our inspiration. We prize our professional duty to explore, procure, and distribute the very best of our world's wine offerings to our retail and restaurant partners in the Mid-Atlantic region. We humbly encourage you to explore our discoveries and enjoy all that we have to offer

$99 per person including tax and gratuity.
