Description

The Expo is a one-day learning experience designed for students and young adults aged 14-26 who have disabilities as well as family members, educators, service providers, and people who offer support and provide services for youth transitioning to adult life.

Organizations and agencies will be available from 10am-6pm to share information about the services they provide to help prepare youth and young adults for transition into adult life.

Sessions for youth will be held from 9am-3pm
These sessions will focus on preparing youth and young adults for transitioning into post-secondary education, employment, independent living, and community experiences.

Sessions for parents and community members will be held from 3pm-6pm.

This event is sponsored by the Joplin Regional Transition Network which includes; Connections Case Management, Joplin Schools, McDonald County Schools, Preferred Employment, MPACT, The Alliance of Southwest MO, The Independent Living Center and Vocational Rehabilitation.
