Event description

Description

This fall the Trio returns! Last here in 2009, they delighted our audience with timeless music and crowd pleasing wit. It was such a success that we thought it time to invite them back! A video of that memorable night can be found online at youtube. com, search Jonathan Edwards Trio-Oakmont High.

Warm as summer sunshine, real as the truth, intimate as a long overdue visit between old friends ... such is a Jonathan Edwards concert. Over four decades into a stellar career of uncompromising musical integrity, the man simply delivers, night after night – songs of passion, insight and humor, all rendered in that pure and powerful tenor which, like ne wine, has grown sweeter with age.

This is one veteran performer who is neither grizzled nor nostalgic. These days Jonathan is likely to be found on the road. “I’ve been...doing what I do best, which is playing live in front of people. I’ve been concentrating on that and loving it,” he says.

He has released a new album since he was last here, Tomorrow’s Child, come hear it for yourself.

ART for Acres Silent Auction:

While you are not required to participate you will be given an opportunity to do so when you receive a catalog of the available art works two weeks prior. This will be a silent auction, held at the Maguire House as backdrop to the reception itself. We will have about a dozen fine art works, professionally framed and created by local artists, with local and conservation inspired themes, another reason to get to the Maguire House on time. Your bidding number will be your ticket number, which you will also receive at least two weeks in advance of the event.

Each item will have a minimum bid value and a listed estimated value. The winners will be announced at the concert, during the intermission. We will be assisted by Tamar Russell, owner and curator of Sitka Gallery West of 454 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA.
