Women Founders Foundation (WFF)

A Day at BlackLine

Therese Tucker

Come visit BlackLine, a software company founded and run by Therese Tucker! BlackLine makes cloud-based accounting software and employs more than 1,000 employees globally, with over 500 based in LA. Therese Tucker is a big supporter of great causes, including empowering women in the workplace. She has donated the Junior Judge prize to the Women Founders Network Fast Pitch competition in the past and is a donor to the Foundation.

This event is a great opportunity for any girl interested in engineering or computer science, but not only tech - the activities will be for any girl generally interested in learning about the culture of a diverse company with a female founder.

This event is for girls between the ages of 15-18.

BlackLine will plan a full day of activities, and participants will be fast-tracked into the interview process for BlackLine's summer internship program, BLInternship (available to high school seniors, minimum age 18).

Breakfast and lunch will be provided and there is no charge for girls to attend.

Agenda (subject to change):

9:30am – 10:00am - Student Arrival & Check-In
10:00am – 10:30am - Welcome to BlackLine
10:30am – 11:00am - Product Presentation + Activity
11:00am – 11:30am - Office Tour
11:30am – 12:30pm - Lunch & Leadership Panel
12:30pm – 1:00pm - My Story Presentation
1:00pm – 1:45pm - Meet our CPO
1:45pm – 2:00pm - Closing Remarks & Check-Out

To ensure this opportunity is available to as many girls as possible, we request that parents/guardians plan to drop off and pick up and not stay for the duration of the event. WFF volunteers will be on site along with BlackLine staff.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation. If you do not have transportation to Woodland Hills, please indicate this in your registration, and WFF will explore options for those who need it.

REQUIRED:
A parent/legal guardian must complete and return a permission form in order for their daughter to participate. Forms will be sent to all registered attendees the week before the event.
