Event description

Description

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Office of Admission invites you to learn more about the Master of Arts (MA) degree by attending an on-campus information session. Current SAIS MA students, alumni and staff will be present to answer your questions about the admissions process, the student experience and the impact your SAIS education could have on the world. Following the information session, you will have an opportunity to meet with current students at our weekly happy hour, held in the lobby of the Nitze Building.

The MA degree is a two-year program for full-time students and is the cornerstone of the SAIS experience. About half of all entering MA students spend a year at SAIS Europe and a year in Washington, DC, and half spend both years in Washington. The academic program is the same for both groups and consists of interdisciplinary course work in international relations, economics and languages. Individuals proficient in Mandarin may pursue the HNC Certificate and SAIS MA by completing two semesters in Nanjing to receive a certificate in Chinese and American Studies, combined with two or three semesters in the MA program. One of these three semesters must be at the Washington campus.

We hope you will be able to join us!

For a complete list of our information sessions and recruiting events, please see the SAIS Admissions recruiting schedule.

All sessions will be held in Nitze Building, Room 417, at 1740 Massachusetts Ave NW.
