Join John Spillane for songs and stories! Here's an extract from just one of his stories:
'Sometimes I used to play gigs in a place called the Lodge Bar, just outside the town of Mallow in north Cork. One time I went for a walk around before the gig, and I came across this most beautiful and spectacular spot on the River Blackwater, which flows along behind the pub. It was a huge limestone cliff above the river, all covered in trees, with a small cave at the bottom of it, and the lovely Blackwater flowing quietly by. There was gravel beach, some stunted thorn trees and horses grazing in the fields nearby. A stunning spot.'
