Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

“But when you’re gone, who remembers your name? Who keeps your flame?”- Hamilton: An American Musical

Hamilton is a smash Broadway success, but why? We invite you to explore this topic with special guest, TEDx speaker and musical therapist, Daniel Goldschmidt, MT-BC. During this free event, the John Marshall House will be open for visitors to explore the relationship between Marshall and Hamilton and the ways music influences how we learn and what we remember.

Wine by the glass available for purchase in the museum store.

What is a "Salon"? A salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate". Salons are commonly associated with French literary and philosophical movements of the 17th and 18th centuries.
