John Kleshinski Concert Series Presents Stephanie Lamprea

CMCB Voice Faculty member Stephanie Lamprea presents Women Take The Floor, an evening of solo contemporary vocal music by female composers. This collection of works is curated from recordings made in a variety of settings before and during the pandemic, including in-person livestreaming at Roulette Intermedium in New York, COVID-safe recording sessions at The Record Co., in Stephanie's bedroom apartment in Dorchester, and before the pandemic at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

  • Rebecca Saunders: O (2017)
  • Tiange Zhou: Si (2019), for voice and handheld percussion
  • Katherine Balch: these intervals matter (2020), for voice, wine glasses and gravel

Named in memory of John Kleshinski, former CMCB Board President and student, the John Kleshinski Concert Series provides access to high-quality musical performances for all, aiming to present a diverse sampling of instruments and genres. This year the program focuses on works composed by women and POC composers.
