John Dillon Album Release: Hope Road - From Addiction to Recovery
Event Information
About this event
This album brings John’s story to life through 12 compelling songs. John went from being a pot smoking, psychedelic loving hippie in the 1960s––attending Woodstock and traveling the country by thumb and freight train––to spending 8 years of abstinence in a new age spiritual community. After leaving the group, the drugs and alcohol gradually returned and grew into a full-blown cocaine addiction in the 80s. A ‘divine intervention’ in the form of a run-in with the law led him to a rehab in 1992. John has maintained sobriety and spiritual growth through commitment to a 12-step program.
Dillon is recognized for his work as producer and co-host (with his wife Vivian Nesbitt) of Art of the Song heard across America on over 100 public radio stations. John is also a noted luthier, author and songwriter with 85 guitars, 2 books and 3 CDs to his credit.
