Join us this November for the Joffrey Academy of Dance's Fall Program!
Featuring classical and contemporary works performed by the Joffrey Academy Pre-Professional Division, Trainees, and Joffrey Studio Company, the Fall Program will showcase upper level students in their own repertory pieces. These excerpts are based in the root of classical ballet and performed by companies world-wide. Now after months of hard work in the studio, our students are thrilled to bring what they have learned to the Black Box Theater for their friends and family!
We are also thrilled to present the return of Stephanie Martinez, esteemed 2015 Winning Works choreographer, and the restaging of her piece Non é Normale. Commissioned through the Joffrey Academy’s Winning Works program, Non é Normale appeared on Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art’s stage in 2015. This year's Academy Trainees will present this energetic contemporary work in conjunction with classical repertoire pieces.
Performance Dates and Times:
Friday, November 18, 7:30 PM
Saturday, November 19, 12:00 PM and 4:30 PM
Sunday, November 20, 11:00 AM
Approximate run time: 1 hour and 15 minutes with no intermission.
Please note all tickets are non-refundable.
Where is the performance held?
The Fall Program takes place on the 4th floor of Joffrey Tower at 10 E. Randolph Street, in the Black Box Theater (Studio A). The elevator to the 4th floor will unlock for guests one hour prior to each performance.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No! You can check in using the mobile ticket or by presenting the name your ticket is reserved under.
How can I reserve accessible seats?
The Black Box Theater offers accessible seating in the first row. After completing your ticket order, email Bridget at firstname.lastname@example.org to request acessible seats for your performance. (Since seating is general admission, you will not be able to reserve seats when you order your tickets online.)
I have a child performing and would like to purchase more than 5 tickets. How can I do that?
On November 1 at 10:00 AM (CST), all families will have the opportunity to reserve extra tickets on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets will also open to the public at that time.
The show I'd like to see is sold out. Can I be put on a waiting list?
We will begin an in-person standby list one hour prior to each performance. Tickets will be sold to standbys as they become available during the check-in period.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.
Is the Fall Program appropriate for young children?
All ages are welcome. Very young children may have trouble sitting through the entire production as there is no intermission. Seating is usually available on the side of the theater for families that may need to exit during the performance.
