JOEY HARKUM
For his entire life Joey Harkum has been strumming a guitar and after a decade of touring as the lead singer and songwriter of Baltimore-based band Pasadena, he released his debut solo album, Love and Labor, to critical acclaim in 2016. Known for his deep and poignant lyrics telling stories of joy, love, loss and sadness, Joey brings the human experience to life through his relentless tour schedule that culminated in the release of Live at Buffalo Iron Works in 2018. 2020 brought new challenges but Joey has responded with writing and recording new music and has released his brand new album “Storyboard” in March of 2021. Mike Pinto is a true storyteller who captivates fans around the world with his undeniably distinct voice and exceptional songwriting. Born and raised in the outskirts of Philadelphia, Pinto has become a prominent fixture in the Southern California music scene after living in San Diego for the past ten years. His gritty East Coast perspective of life, blended with the laid-back California lifestyle, creates a dichotomy that is uniquely original.
Pinto's newest album, Hotel Rendezvous, debuted at #4 on ITunes Singer-Songwriter charts, and was nominated as one of 2018’s Best World Music Albums by the San Diego Music Awards. It was It’s his 6th release, while his previous record “Truthful Lies’ the topped the iTunes Reggae and Billboard Reggae charts, debuting at #1 and #2 respectively.
Constantly evolving as an artist and songwriter, Pinto's songs are both deeply personal and widely relatable. With his signature narrative style, he explores life chapter by chapter, all with a light-hearted satire rich with depth. Hotel Rendezvous explores a broad spectrum of genres, from Singer-Songwriter and Reggae, to Folk and Country music.
Pinto has toured nationally with Black Uhuru, Long Beach Dub AllStars, Iration, and The Aggrolites. He’s shared the stage with Slightly Stoopid, Reel Big Fish, Nas, Ben Harper, The Dirty Heads, The Avett Brothers, SOJA, Rebelution and The Flaming Lips; as well as played renown festivals such as Blackwater, SXSW, First Flush, One Love Festival, and California Roots Festival. His popularity spreads beyond the continental United States, with radio plays in Japan, Hawaii and the Pacific Islands, and live performances in Guam, Canada, Mexico and Australia.

Where do I park?
Bright Box is located at 15 N. Loudoun St. on the beautiful pedestrian mall in Old Town Winchester. The nearest parking is the Braddock Auto Park at 30 N Braddock St. This is about a block away from the venue. The parking garage does have several handicap parking spaces available.
Once you've parked in the garage you'll exit toward the pedestrian mall. Once you hit N. Loudoun you'll make a right and Bright Box will be on your right a few storefronts up, directly across from the Old Court House Civil War Museum

Is Bright Box handicap accessible?
Absolutely. The venue is handicap accessible and ADA compliant. The infrastructure in Old Town Winchester is friendly toward those with physical challenges or in wheelchairs. Park in one of the close-by parking garages and come to the main door at 15 N. Loudoun St. (the walking mall). We ask that you arrive when doors open, and we will be happy to escort you to a place best suited to your needs in the theater or to take you to the elevator to access the upstairs Out of the Box room.
