Event description
Joe Mazzaferro returns with his Quintet celebrating two-time Grammy winner Roy Hargrove.

About this event

Born October 16, 1969, Roy Hargrove was a two-time Grammy winning jazz trumpet player, who left us too soon at the tender age of only forty-nine. Widely acclaimed as one of the premier trumpet players of his generation, Roy is said to have had wide tastes in music, with a special gift for composition and melody.

Join the Sacramento Jazz Coop as Joe Mazzaferro returns center stage with his quintet, featuring Levi Saelua on alto sax, Rick Giddens on bass, Tony Montanez on drums, Brenden Lowe on piano, and Joe Mazzaferro on trumpet.

The Sacramento Jazz Cooperative follows the COVID Guidelines as set forth by the Sacramento County Health Department which dictates as of now, that all persons attending any indoor function within Sacramento County must wear a face covering regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for your cooperation.
