Get equipped with strategies, tools, and resources to help people find and keep meaningful work in your community.

This JfL CORE training event will be held online, led by experienced Jobs for Life leaders from around the country, that will help you and your team with the necessary steps to plan, start and sustain a work-readiness class, through Jobs for Life, in your community. Through Biblical principles, proven strategies and real life applications, this training will assist you in building Gospel-centered relationships with people in your community and helping them to find and keep meaningful work.

NOTE: JfL CORE Training is required to gain access to Jobs for Life tools and resources, to gain access to purchase the JfL curricula, and to be authorized to facilitate a JfL class or PfL class. For new sites that have never led a JfL class, a minimum of two team members from your organization must be in attendance.

Key Features of this training:

  • A step-by-step action plan to implement a Jobs for Life class (for youth and/or adults) in your community

  • Strategies and tools to recruit and retain participants, your leadership team, volunteers, businesses, and community partners

  • A focus on Biblical principles and a theology of work

  • Opportunities to connect with JfL leaders from around the country

Training Event Dates:

  • Friday, April 17 (6-8:30PM) -

  • Saturday, April 18 (9AM-4:30PM)

Lead Trainer:

  • Margaret Jones
    Margaret is an experienced Associate Pastor with a history of working in the industry of religious institutions. She is skilled in nonprofit organizations, coaching, discipleship, event management, and volunteer management. Margaret is a strong community and social services professional, and for the past 3 years, she has served as the lead instructor for Heart for Winter Haven’s (FL) Jobs for Life classes.
