WHY do we encourage a couple ticket? We need your help to balance the numbers of men and women - it makes the class more fun for all - but you actually change partners during the class every five minutes or so, to get the maximum learning and socialising - and also to dance with the more expereinced dancers, and speed up the learning process.
Can I book a single ticket? YES you can - but you need to let me know, and we will do my best to balance the numbers of men and women
WHO should I invite? Anyone who wants to learn FAST. Partner, friend, neighbour, colleague, relative, it doesnt matter - this is a group class aimed to get everyone up to a fabulous level of dancing in just one day - and you will remember the moves wherever you go.
WHO is teaching? Simon - teaching Modern Jive in many countries for over 15 years - will be giving you all his best tips and tricks to master a series of excellent starter moves, as well as a few fancy ones to add some flair.
WHAT is Modern Jive? It s a fun fabulous partner dance, usually done to modern chart music, but can adapt to anything at all. Similar moves to salsa and swing, but it has a more regular 2 steps pattern which makes is the fastest to learn. You will LOVE it. 100% compatible wtih UK Ceroc also.
What should I wear? comfy clothers, anything you'd wear to a sunday pub catch-up with friends.
What Shoes? Flat, smooth soled shoes are best when you are starting out. Trainers can grip the floor a bit too much, so we recemmend leather soled normal work shoes, but you can get by in anything really.
