With his ever-present sense of humor, Jim Lewis is a unique and versatile performer with a diversity of musical skill sets and knowledge to draw upon. Jim is an acoustic and electric guitar player, performer, composer, singer-songwriter, music educator with over 35 years of professional experience. Over the years, he has transcribed and arranged thousands of songs and has worked for hundreds of satisfied private clients. He has also transcribed for Steven King's first book of fingerstyle guitar songs. Over the course of his career, he has played with influential bands like Canned Heat, Cold Blood, and Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. At age 16, Jim started playing guitar and started instruction with Roberto Torres, Peter Sprague, and Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson and Bill Coleman.
