Chef Jim Kavanaugh of Mazzone Hospitality will teach class participants the finer points of cooking utilizing three techniques: poaching, searing and stirring. Chef Kavanaugh will help you master these seemingly simple, yet often difficult, techniques to create restaurant-quality meals in your own kitchen.

Seared Salmon with Tarragon Dijon Sauce
Butternut Squash Risotto
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Kavanaugh is the general manager for the GLOBALCAFE at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, a component of Mazzone Hospitality’s Prime Business Dining division. He has an extensive background in food service, with more than 20 years of culinary experience. He has been recognized by Food & Wine magazine, and enjoys teaching cooking classes throughout the Capital Region.
