About this event
We will educate and connect the greater Boston Jewish community around the dynamics of building a regional, sustainable food system, providing networking and resource sharing opportunities.
The day provides multiple opportunities for community engagement, including focused resource sharing opportunities, informational displays, garden tours, hands-on activities, learning opportunities (text study, expert panels, workshops), local companies, kosher, ethical snacks and live music.
Often referred to as “People of the Book,” the Jewish religion is agricultural in origin and we aim to embrace our heritage as a “People of the Land.” We will gather just after the holiday of Shavuot, the Biblical start of the wheat harvest, and celebration of the receiving of the 10 commandments, our guiding principles.
