Event description

Description

The Jews of Baltimore

Join Temple Sinai for a visit to the Jewish Museum of Maryland. We will enjoy a docent-led tour of their two historic synagogues, the Lloyd Street Synagogues and B’nai Israel, followed by a visit to the exhibit called “Voices of Lombard Street: A Century of Change in East Baltimore.” Participants will be provided with a box lunch from historic Attman’s Deli. In the afternoon, we will hear from Deborah Weiner, author of “On Middle Ground: A History of the Jews of Baltimore,” about the unique history of the Baltimore Jewish community. There will also be some free time to explore the other exhibits at the museum. Join us for this day of learning and a taste of Jewish Baltimore.
