About this Event

These are the ‘greats’ of composers who produced much of the best-known compositions. Everybody heard about Emmerich Kálmán, Jacques Offenbach, and Oscar Straus but not everybody know that they are Jewish. There were many others that lived incredible lives and wrote beautiful music.

Three young sopranos and a tenor will be performings selections from Blue Hawaii, Gypsy Princess, Countess Maritza, The Dollar Princess, Victoria and her Hussar, New Moon, The Rose of Stamboul, The Merry Widow, The Chocolate Soldier, Lady in the Dark and more.

Founder of the Concert Operetta Daniel Pantano will make you laugh, cry and fell in love with operetta with his witty and quirky commentary.

Concert Operetta Theater was founded in 2004 and is the only company in the USA that performs Viennese, American, German, and Yiddish operettas as well as Spanish Zarzuela. They have been hailed in both the US and Europe for their commitment to the genre. Since their beginning the have performed 27 operettas and 14 different potpourri concerts.

Drawing their singers from local professionals, ten have gone on to perform with the Metropolitan Opera and twenty more make their careers performing professionally through the world.
