Event description

Description

The religiously unaffiliated are the fastest growing “religious group” in the U.S.

In recent years, it has become clear that we no longer live in a “Christian culture.”

Instead, we live a culture dominated by secularism (death to religion) and relativism (death to truth). Biblically based morality is no longer a universally accepted authority and instead, everyone is free to decide for themselves what is right and wrong.

(1) 2014 Religious Landscape Study, conducted June 4 - Sept 30, 2014 (PEW RESEARCH CENTER)

Today many young adults, in particular, see the church as irrelevant to their day-to-day life - a dead, empty tradition of the past. They have negative misconceptions of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. As a result, a cultural divide exists between the secular youth culture and the Church.

So what can do we do to reach people from a secular mindset, including those in our own family? How can we communicate the Gospel in a way that is relevant, but uncompromised?

Steiger International is a rapidly-growing, worldwide mission organization that is called to reach and disciple the Global Youth Culture for Jesus.

Steiger bridges the gap between the Church and the Global Youth Culture by providing dynamic training on biblical values, principles, and models for relevantly sharing Jesus and making disciples among young people who would not normally walk into a church.

On Tuesday November 19, Steiger is hosting a free luncheon (graciously covered by California givers) at Sheperd's Grove Church for California-area pastors and Christian leaders to learn about Steiger training opportunities for reaching the thousands of unreached secular young people in the Orange County area with the Gospel.

Steiger's Executive Director, Aaron Pierce, will also be sharing a vision for developing a long-term Steiger City Team in Orange County that both unifies and mobilizes the Church to reach and disciple the Global Youth Culture on an ongoing basis.

Please note, Steiger will also be hosting a free dinner on Monday November 18. Feel free to invite people to attend either event as the content will be the same.
