Event description

Description

Join Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network (JFAN) of Kansas City for their first speakers series of 2019. David Laughlin, President of Rockhurst High School, will lead a conversation "Jesuit Educated and Ignatian Formed: Imagine the Difference We Could Make".

David is the first lay president of Rockhurst High School and was installed as the 17th president on August 29, 2018. Along with serving in Jesuit education since 1990, David is a proud Creighton University alumnus of the classes of '88 and '91.

David's presentation is aimed at those in the KC Jesuit community, whose lives have been influenced by Jesuit education and/or spirituality. His talk will highlight the purpose of Jesuit education and Ignatian formation as a call to leadership, and the foundational concepts and strategies used by Jesuits for centuries and today to engage and encounter the world.

The morning will include a breakfast buffet and a time for networking. David's talk will follow and end by 8:30 am.

This event is open to all local alumni, parents, and friends of Jesuit high schools and universities.
