Where?
The lovely people at The Monks Yard, Horton Cross, nr Ilminster are our host for this event, 9am - 5pm on Thursday 21 July 2011.
We can accommodate *15* of you at this venue.
It's free but please let us know if you're coming by booking yourself a place above.
Just bring your laptop or other work etc. and we'll provide a really nice place to work with free wi-fi (and loads of power sockets) for the day. You can stay as long as you wish from 9am, with the venue open until 5pm.
There is plenty of parking on-site and as soon as we can find out which local bus stops nearby we'll add the details!
Refreshments
There is a coffee shop onsite with delicious locally grown, organic food and good coffee, so for those who don't want to bring their own lunch, do remember to bring cash or a card to pay with! For anyone wanting to make bog-standard tea and coffee, a suggested donation of £1 for use of the Monks Yard workspace supplies would be great, but you'll probably find the drinks on offer in the coffee shop are far more tempting (and you can bring these back to your desk!).
What happens?
You can chat, enjoy the company of interesting new people, exchange ideas etc. - or if you absolutely insist, just get down to some actual work ;-). There's no enforced chat or embarrassing ice-breakers, so if you do want to bring headphones and work in your own little world, that's fine too. Of course, most people attend because they miss that bit of office interaction when working at home alone!
So if you’re a home-based freelancer, digital nomad or small business, it’d be great if you could join us!
