Overview

Come witness the raw emotion and intense drama unfold in Jeffrey Lo's "(THE) FOUNDATION" - an intimate experience you won't forget!

We’re proud to unveil the next exciting step in Contemporary Asian Theater Scene’s (CATS) mission to uplift AAPI theater. Please join us for the premier staged reading of (THE) Foundation, an original full-length play by award-winning playwright and director Jeffrey Lo, the recipient of CATS’ Inaugural 2025 Playwright Commission!

(THE) Foundation takes place the night after the inauguration. All of Silicon Valley’s elite is there to celebrate. When a major CEO’s life partner asks the question, “What is happening to you?” does the foundation they’ve built together stand or crumble?
