About this event

JCAL Reads will consider America’s current climate of deep political polarization through the lens of President Abraham Lincoln’s most famous public addresses, both before the during the Civil War, on freedom, civic duty, slavery and the Constitution.

Adults, youth, families, seniors and all community members are invited to and welcome at JCAL Reads during the five-week series. Guiding conversations will be Stephanie D. Delia, a local immigration attorney with deep roots in Southeast Queens and a focus on social justice.

JCAL Reads takes place at 7pm over five Tuesdays—October 4, 11, 18, and 25, and on November 1, 2022.
