Join us as we end Black History Month Celebration with the special presentation one of most celebrated African American Literary Classics, God's Trombones written by James Weldon Johnson.

James Weldon Johnson was a leading figure of the Harlem Renaissance, and one of the most revered African Americans of all time, whose life demonstrated the full spectrum of struggle and success.

God's Trombones is a book containing seven inspirational poems paying homage to the “old time black preachers” reimagined as poetry, echoing with the musicality and splendid expression of the spirituals.

This special event performance will feature all women speakers, and will honor local women of excellence who have made significant contributions to their communities.
