A Jazz Concert benefiting Water For People featuring local Jazz artists

About this event

The San Diego Committee of Water For People is excited to host both an in-person and virtual Jazz on Tap concert this year. The program features Gilbert Castellanos, Monette Marino World Jazz Ensemble and Euphoria Brass Band and will be presented by Avista Technologies and KSDS Jazz 88.3, under a grant from the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture, and the California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in conjunction with AWWA's ACE21.

Jazz on Tap will be held in-person from 4-8 pm PDT at the Westin Gaslamp Garden Terrace, downtown San Diego. Tickets are $25.

The virtual event will be from 4:45 pm to 7:30 pm (no charge). Virtual attendees are encouraged to preregister, to allow quicker access on the day of the event. Here is the link to preregister for the virtual:

Whether in-person or virtual, all attendees will experience the same high-energy jazz bands, emcee, program, information from Water For People CEO Eleanor Allen and in-country representatives. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Water For People, a non-profit dedicated to changing lives by making clean water and sanitation available to Everyone Forever. WaterForPeople.org.

For the in-person concert, all seating must be assigned in advance per California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines for “Outdoor Seated Live Events and Performances” and will be limited to a first-come first-reserved basis due to space limitations. We very much appreciate your understanding and ask that all ticket purchasers complete the information below. The rules for the event are no more than 6 people per table and no more than 3 household groups per table. Table assignments will be available at the registration desk at check in. All attendees must be California residents. Face masks are required. We very much appreciate your understanding and ask that all ticket purchasers complete the information below. Please provide your seating preference during checkout.

Also, please acknowledge through a check box during checkout the following waiver language:

“I accept that I will comply with State of California and County of San Diego public health orders related to Covid 19 for and will, while attending the event, comply with posted protective measures including social distancing and face coverings. Furthermore, I hereby grant full permission to use my name and likeness, as well as any photographs and any record of this event in which I may appear for any legitimate purpose, including advertising and promotion.”

Doors open at 3:30. Valet parking will be available at the Westin Gaslamp for a $10 fee. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concert through tickets sold at the site.
