The 2019 Season Ticket includes admission to our June 6th, July 11th and August 8th events.

Season tickets will be available for purchase until Thursday, June 6th at 5:00pm.

Now in its 13th season, Jazz on Jackson Place has presented musicians from around the world, including major artists from the U.S., China, Spain, Argentina, Russia, and Brazil. The series is curated by Burnett Thompson. The series is regularly sold out and has become a must-see in the hot D.C. summer music scene.

The White House Historical Association is excited to announce the 13th season of Jazz on Jackson Place!

Hosted in the Decatur House Courtyard, Jazz on Jackson is the perfect event for summer associates or office groups! Tickets include live jazz music, delicious hors d’oeuvres and libations, and tourss of the historic Decatur House.

Featured artist for the June 6th event is...

Kavita Shah Ensemble

Kavita Shah is a vocalist, composer, and lifelong New Yorker who makes work in deep engagement with the jazz idiom while addressing and advancing its global sensibilities. Hailed by NPR for possessing an “amazing dexterity for musical languages,” Kavita incorporates ethnographic work on Latin American, West African, and South Asian traditions into her music. Her 2014 debut album “Visions,” co-produced by Lionel Loueke, was released to great critical acclaim. In 2018, Kavita released “Interplay,” an album of standards and originals in duet with bass virtuoso François Moutin, which was nominated for a Victoire de la Musique (French Grammy Award) for Jazz Album of the Year.

Featured artist for the July 11th event is...

Howard University alum Kris Funn was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Kristopher toured internationally with saxophonist Kenny Garrett, and traveled to every major jazz festival in the world on six continents, performing with Sean Jones, Benny Golson, Bruce Williams, Nicholas Payton, Warren Wolf, Pharoah Sanders, Jeff Lorber, Christian Scott, Kamasi Washington, and Joey Alexander. In 2017, Kris released his debut album, “Cornerstore".

Featured artist for the August 8th event is....

Aaron Seeber Group

Drummer Aaron Seeber has become an anchor in the explosive New York jazz scene in addition to regular appearances in the DC area. Aaron was mentored by Kenny Washington and John Riley and has been leading his own group at the legendary Smalls Jazz Club in NYC for the past three years. Aaron has played or recorded with Paul Bollenback, Joe Magnarelli, Gilad Hekselman, Freddie Redd, Tim Green, Linda Oh, and WarrenWolf. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Blue Note, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, Fat Cat, Iridium, and Blues Alley.
