The band: For the evening we are pleased to feature 'The Nookie Thompsons'. A jazz collective blending elements of modern soul with the sounds of the prohibition era. These seasoned performers are well versed in their craft and have collectively been the sounds for artists like Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Beyonce, Snarky Puppy, Juan Luis Guerra and the list goes on. Please enjoy a rare and intimate peak into the minds of these talented musicians.

The art installations: We have two amazing artist that will showcase a very intriguing and unique art pieces.

Ali Golzad - Native Iranian artist that works with corrugated cardboard. He talks about his Invisible Children art project: 'My choice of material, corrugated cardboard, to create bas-relief portraits of displaced children in their native habitats, reflects their unseen status. Like corrugated cardboard, the twenty million are everywhere yet invisible.'

Milan Bender - Dallas born. 'For Milan, life = art. He sees potential in the left overs of nature’s gifts, or the castoffs of our industrial society. Milan calls his art - Modern Recycling, which typically consists of 80-90% recycled found objects. Many pieces achieve 100% recycled status.'
