NAACP Fairfax County

The NAACP founded in 1909, the mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

The Freedom Fund is an annual fundraising event/series of events for every chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Local branches across the country hold their own dinners and ceremonies to raise money and recognize the work of their local chapters. Funds raised will be used for the programs and services our chapter provides including advocacy projects, job fairs, voter registration, and educational scholarships.
