Jazz at the Speakeasy!
Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 7:20 PM to 11:45 PM (EDT)
This is a jazz meetup at a small, upscale Speakeasy downtown that is unadvertised; it is known only by word of mouth; it has a 1920's prohibition theme -- back when alcohol was not allowed and hidden nightclubs appeared.
To attend this event, :
1) After you RSVP, you will receive the location and a phone number to call to make a reservation. Indicate which show time you want -- 7:20 socializing with 8:00 performance, 9 pm performance,or 10:30 pm performance.
2) After you call the number, you will receive a text back with a confirmation of your reservation.
3) When you arrive, ask for the Speakeasy...you'll be directed an unmarked door at the location, which is very nicely kept. There will be a doorman there – you must give the doorman the name of the person who made the reservation.
A jazz trio called TR3.0 Jazz will be performing classic, original and latin jazz with bass, guitar, drums and piccolo bass throughout the evening.
Details at http://www.tr30jazz.com
Admission is free, but we would appreciate it if you would purchase a drink or two to keep the Speakeasy as a place for our Meetup group to meet. The venue serves drinks but not food – so come thirsty but not hungry!
The location is near Orange and Pine downtown. There is parking at these locations -- either free on the street, in assorted lots close to Orange and Pine near downtown.
This site generates a ticket -- the reservation is what matters -- but if you bring your ticket it can be a good backup.
See you there!
